In the early morning hours of June 5, 2021, the life of 67-year-old Lonnie Easter, an African American male, was tragically cut short in LaGrange, Georgia. Officers from the LaGrange Police Department responded to a call at a residence on DeGroat Street at approximately 2:42 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Easter lying in the doorway of the home, having sustained at least one gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response from emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
