In the early morning hours of Friday, May 28, 2021, a dispute that began at a local bar in Remerton, Georgia, spilled out into a nearby bank parking lot, ending in a double homicide. Jamar Antwan Walton, a 21-year-old male from Valdosta, was one of the two victims who lost their lives to gun violence that night. The other man killed was 23-year-old Sherrod Gore.
