In the spring of 2021, a young man's life was cut tragically short in southwest Atlanta. Twenty-one-year-old Claudly Jean-Pierre Jr., a male, was discovered with a gunshot wound to his chest on the evening of March 25th at a Citgo gas station located at the intersection of Fairburn Road and Benjamin E. Mays Drive. Though he was still conscious when police and paramedics arrived, and was quickly transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, his injuries proved to be fatal.
