On the evening of March 24, 2021, a dispute in a Hiram, Georgia subdivision tragically cut short the life of 21-year-old Brian Perry Belin Jr., a Black male. The altercation took place near the tennis courts and pool area of the Regency Park subdivision. It was there that Belin was shot multiple times. When Paulding County sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene around 8:30 p.m., they found Belin had already succumbed to his injuries.
