In what was supposed to be a routine child custody exchange, a man lost his life in a tragic and violent encounter. Kevin Spruill, a 30-year-old Black male from Atlanta, Georgia, was shot and killed on the evening of Monday, November 9, 2020. The fatal incident unfolded at a Chevron gas station located on Forest Parkway in Clayton County. Spruill had accompanied his girlfriend to the location to pick up her children from her ex-boyfriend, Tony Stevenson.
