On a tragic evening in Albany, Georgia, the life of 14-year-old D'Varri Canady, an African American male, was violently cut short. On October 12, 2020, Canady was inside a residence on Wingate Avenue when the home was sprayed with bullets in a drive-by shooting. The hail of gunfire resulted in the death of both Canady and another individual, 26-year-old Wontania Jermaine Hall Jr.
