In the early hours of a Sunday morning, the quiet of Highway 42S in Monroe County was shattered by the screech of tires and the blast of a gunshot, leaving a 35-year-old Forsyth man, Michael High, dead on the side of the road. The tragic chain of events began with a phone call from High's girlfriend, 26-year-old Cierra Bell of Decatur.
