In the early morning hours of a Monday in August 16, 2020, tragedy struck in southeast Atlanta when 41-year-old Aaron Ansah was found with two life-threatening gunshot wounds to his chest. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Lakewood Avenue, near the Quick Pick Food Mart. First responders arrived at the scene and immediately began life-saving efforts before rushing him to a nearby hospital. Despite their attempts, Ansah was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
