An 18-year-old African American male named Raezion “Rae Rae” Boyd, a promising rapper who had recently signed with Motown Records, was shot and killed on July 24, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred on Sunset Avenue in the northwest part of the city, where Boyd and three other individuals were ambushed by gunmen as they were exiting a vehicle. They had just arrived to attend what was described as an illegal party being held at a short-term rental property.
