In the summer of 2020, a young woman's life was tragically cut short in LaGrange, Georgia. On the evening of July 19th, 22-year-old Haley Brook Newsom, a white female, was at a home on Meadowland Trail when a 17-year-old male began carelessly waving a handgun in the living room. The firearm discharged, striking Newsom in the head. She was a 2018 honor graduate of Troup High School and was known for her vibrant personality and love for her family and friends.
