In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Macon, Georgia, a life was tragically cut short. On February 15, 2020, 37-year-old Ashley Wease was found with fatal gunshot wounds inside a room at the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites on Chambers Road. Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a person shot at the motel shortly before 10 a.m. and discovered Wease unresponsive in room 240. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
