In the early morning hours of Sunday, December 1, 2019, the life of a young Macon man was tragically cut short. Twenty-three-year-old Eric Broomfield was discovered in his 2003 GMC in an alleyway off of Winton Avenue, having been shot multiple times. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office received a call about a person down at approximately 7:40 a.m. and, upon their arrival, deputies found Broomfield deceased inside the vehicle.
