In the late spring of 2019, a situation unfolded in a quiet residential area of East Liberty County, Georgia, that resulted in the death of John Evers, a 51-year-old male from Savannah. On May 20th, events took a fatal turn during what authorities have described as a home invasion on Fleming Loop Road. During the course of this alleged crime, Evers was shot and killed by the homeowner.
