In the early morning hours of Friday, February 8, 2019, in Americus, Georgia, Detri Nakee Reliford, a 39-year-old female, was shot in the head at a residence on Starlight Circle. Emergency services treated her at the scene before she was transported to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center for stabilization. She was subsequently airlifted to a trauma center in Macon. Despite medical efforts, Reliford succumbed to her injuries at 5:25 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
