In a quiet southeast Atlanta townhome community, a dispute over money tragically escalated, claiming the life of 23-year-old Joseph Bates, a male, on December 10, 2018. The incident unfolded in the middle of the day, around 12:30 p.m., at a residence on Tufton Trail. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found Bates suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
