On a December evening in 2018, the life of 34-year-old Derrick Scott was tragically cut short in Columbus, Georgia. The shooting, which occurred on December 9 at the Sands Apartments on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, would lead to a homicide investigation and the eventual arrests of five individuals.
