On a December evening in Atlanta, a 60-year-old grandfather named Kirk Dorsey was fatally shot and killed. The incident occurred on Saturday, December 8, 2018, in the 2000 block of Childress Drive in southwest Atlanta. Atlanta police officers responded to a call and discovered Mr. Dorsey lying unresponsive on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
