In the early morning hours of July 18, 2018, the life of Stantavious LaVonse' Latimore, a 30-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. The Thomson Police Department responded to a call at approximately 7:45 a.m. regarding a shooting at a residence in the 800 block of Clements Street in Thomson, Georgia. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Latimore had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
