In the early hours of July 4, 2018, Curtis Lamar Wright, a 25-year-old African American male, was fatally shot outside the Ice Bar Lounge and Restaurant in College Park, an Atlanta suburb. The tragic incident unfolded around 1:40 a.m. when a dispute that began inside the establishment escalated and spilled out into the parking lot. Wright was an innocent bystander, not involved in the initial altercation, who was caught in the ensuing gunfire. He sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
