On a tragic day in May of 2018, the life of 23-year-old Hope Dawson of Jonesboro, Georgia, was cut short. She was discovered in a west Atlanta bedroom on May 4th, the victim of a triple shooting that also claimed the lives of 38-year-old Jocelyn Shepherd and 38-year-old Norris Lowe, both from Atlanta. The young Black woman's death left her family and community in deep mourning.
