On a Saturday morning, the 6th of January, 2018, a hunter discovered the body of 50-year-old Otis Monroe near Chauncy Road in Clinch County, Georgia. The Clinch County Sheriff's Office was notified at approximately 9:30 a.m. and, upon their arrival, they found Monroe, a resident of Homerville. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist with the death investigation. An autopsy later confirmed that Monroe's death was a result of a gunshot wound.
