In the late summer of 2017, the life of a young Covington, Georgia man was cut short, leaving a void in the community and a case that would soon be shrouded in unanswered questions. Jordan Malik Wooten, a 21-year-old male, was brought to the entrance of Piedmont Newton Hospital on September 14th with a fatal gunshot wound. Shortly after his arrival, he was pronounced dead, marking the beginning of a homicide investigation.
