Joseph Wesley Hoffman, 34, a White male from Morgan County, was reported dead in mid-November 2016 after what authorities described as a hunting accident in Jasper County near the Eatonton and Monticello area. Contemporary reports say he had gone out to hunt with friends and arrived on private property off Highway 16.
