In the early evening of January 23, 2011, Antonio Lamont Lee, a 36-year-old Black man, was waiting in his 2010 Acura sedan at a traffic light in the 1400 block of East Monument Street in Baltimore, Maryland. Suddenly, a white van pulled up alongside his vehicle, and its occupants opened fire. Lee was struck by multiple gunshots.
