Terry Jerome “TJ” Maddox, a 30-year-old Black man from Gainesville, Georgia, was killed late on September 9, 2016, in a shooting on the 900 block of Athens Street. Police said officers were called to the area around 11 p.m. and found Maddox suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
