In the fall of 2015, a gathering of friends at a home in southwest Atlanta turned into a scene of violence and tragedy, claiming the life of 41-year-old Marquis Stephens, an African American male. On the evening of October 7, 2015, Stephens was at a house party on Wanda Circle, where friends had gathered for a fish fry and to watch television. While some of the guests were in the dining room engaged in a game of dominoes, the night took a devastating turn.
