In the early autumn of 2015, a tragedy unfolded in Savannah, Georgia, ending the life of 38-year-old Jenny Rose Harmon Keebler. On the afternoon of Saturday, October 3rd, authorities were dispatched to a residence on Whitfield Avenue, where they found Keebler and a 41-year-old man, Jose Antonio Perez-Estrada, with severe gunshot wounds. The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police initially characterized the event as an apparent domestic shooting.
