In the summer of 2015, tragedy struck an Atlanta neighborhood, leaving a family grieving and a community searching for answers. Malcolm Omar Lassiter, a 44-year-old African-American man, was found with multiple gunshot wounds on June 9, 2015. The fatal shooting occurred in the 1100 block of Greenwich Street SW in the southwest part of the city. Originally from Cooper City, Florida, Lassiter's life was abruptly ended in an act of violence that continues to baffle investigators.
