In the early morning hours of April 7, 2015, the body of 36-year-old Robert Ashley Carr was discovered lying in the parking lot of Woodwright Industries in Cartersville, Georgia. An investigation was launched after it was determined that Carr, a resident of White, had been shot multiple times in his upper torso with a small-caliber handgun. His death was quickly ruled a homicide, prompting an extensive investigation by the Bartow County Sheriff's Office.
