In the spring of 2015, the life of Kagan Norman Williams, a 39-year-old African American male, was violently cut short in what should have been the safety of his own home. On the evening of March 20th, two masked men forced their way into his residence at the Prato at Midtown apartment complex in Atlanta, Georgia, with the intent to rob him. During the terrifying home invasion, Williams was shot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
