In a tragic sequence of events stemming from a soured drug deal, 25-year-old Martrell Gay, a male resident of Atlanta, Georgia, was fatally shot on a Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred on March 7, 2015, inside the West End Food Market located on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. Gay was shot in the face and, despite being rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, succumbed to his injuries.
