In the late hours of July 30, 2014, Ivory T. Carter, a 51-year-old man, was found shot near the intersection of Hampstead Avenue and Rogerwood Street in Savannah, Georgia. Responding to a call about a shooting at approximately 10 p.m., officers from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department discovered Carter with life-threatening injuries. He was immediately transported to Memorial University Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his wounds.
