Marquise Pryor, a 27-year-old African American male from Chicago, IL, was fatally shot on August 12, 2022. Pryor, who was a former basketball player at Orr Academy and featured in the 2018 Fox Sports documentary "Shot in the Dark," was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the Dan Ryan Woods Forest Preserve. Officers responded to a call about the shooting around 10:45 p.m., and upon arrival, they discovered Pryor's body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
