Dijoune Nelson, a 30-year-old man from Loves Park, Illinois, was tragically shot to death on the night of August 5, 2022. According to the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office, Nelson was found in the backyard of his residence on Pennsylvania Avenue, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred around 11 p.m., and the Loves Park Police Department was promptly called to investigate the shooting.
