Markus Simmons, a 31-year-old African American male from Ford Heights, Illinois, was tragically killed on May 21, 2022. According to reports, Markus suffered gunshot wounds at an address in the 1400 block of Diplomat Street. He was pronounced dead shortly after 3 a.m. at Franciscan Health Dyer. The Lake County, Indiana, coroner's office ruled his death a homicide.
