Tremayne Maltbia, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on October 22, 2021, in the Gresham neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. while Tremayne was walking in the 7800 block of South Wood Street. A blue minivan approached, and an individual exited the vehicle, firing multiple shots at Tremayne. He was struck several times and was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.
