Martinus M. King, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 2, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Rosemoor neighborhood on the Far South Side of the city. According to reports, Martinus was in the basement of a residence located in the 100 block of East 107th Street when he was shot multiple times around 6:10 p.m. He was quickly transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he succumbed to his injuries less than an hour late
