Darius M. Dawson, a 30-year-old African American man from Peoria, Illinois, was tragically found dead on July 31, 2021. His body was discovered in a yard in the 2700 block of West Latrobe Street. According to the Peoria County Coroner, Jamie Harwood, Dawson had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, leading to rapid and severe internal bleeding.
