Carlos Slaughter, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 9, 2021, in Markham, Illinois. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 16600 block of South Crawford Avenue. Carlos, along with 16-year-old Demari Stephens, was fatally shot at a BP gas station. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed that Carlos Slaughter succumbed to a gunshot wound to his torso, while Demari Stephens died from multiple gunshot wounds.
