Darnell Fisher, a 16-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on May 23, 2020, in Washington Park, Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 10:05 p.m. on South Indiana Avenue, where Fisher was approached by an individual who shot him in the chest and arm. Fisher was immediately taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
