Michael Dumas, a 31-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on December 24, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. He was standing on the sidewalk with a 52-year-old man in the 700 block of North Lotus Avenue when two male suspects approached them and opened fire. Dumas was struck multiple times and succumbed to his injuries at Stroger Hospital later that evening. The older man was also injured but survived after his condition was stabilized.
