On November 19, 2018, 36-year-old Daryl D. Keller was fatally shot in the 200 block of Sand Street in South Peoria, Illinois. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an extensive investigation, Peoria police identified 28-year-old Lionell L. Harris as a suspect. At the time, Harris was already incarcerated within the Illinois Department of Corrections on unrelated charges. In 2020, he was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Keller's death.
