John Laprice Morgan, a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 10, 2017, in Springfield, Illinois. He was shot to death in the parking lot of a south-side apartment complex. The incident occurred at the West Lake Apartments, located in the 100 block of West Lake Shore Drive.
