On the night of May 13, 2017, a young African-American man named Mark Edwards, 22, was fatally shot in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood. The incident occurred at approximately 10:55 p.m. in the vicinity of 10 Nottingham Street.
Responding to a call for a person shot, Boston police officers discovered Edwards suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. During the initial investigation, it was noted that a nearby car had also been struck by gunfire.
