Vincent Davis Sr., a 43-year-old African American man from Chicago, IL, was fatally shot on July 25, 2016. He was sitting in the front passenger seat of a car in the 6600 block of South Michigan Avenue in the Park Manor neighborhood when he was attacked. The assailant, later identified as 19-year-old Devontay Murray, approached the vehicle and opened fire, hitting Davis five times and a 22-year-old woman in the car three times.
