Marquis Chamberlain, a 19-year-old African American male from Chicago, IL, tragically lost his life on May 13, 2015. Marquis was one of three young men ambushed by gunfire while parked in a car on the 200 block of 107th Street. The other victims, Terrence Canady, 19, and Shamari Salter, 20, were also fatally shot. The incident occurred after the trio had returned from registering for fall courses at Parkland College in Champaign. Marquis was pronounced dead at Kindred Hospital on June 10, 2015,
