In the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, on an autumn day in 2011, the life of a 44-year-old Black man named Mike Smith came to a tragic and violent end. On October 5th, Boston Police were called to 40 Kensington Park, where they discovered that Smith had been shot. Despite the immediate response from law enforcement, his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced deceased.
