William Caisse, a 32-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on April 7, 1979, in Paxton, Illinois. He was serving as a patrolman with the Paxton Police Department at the time of his death. The incident occurred during a routine traffic stop on Interstate 57, two miles south of Paxton.
