In the late morning of October 10, 2022, a burst of violence shattered the daytime calm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, leading to the tragic death of 17-year-old Dedrick Wagner. The young man was fatally shot around 11:15 a.m. in the 1400 block of Terrace Avenue, outside of the Terrace Grocery store.
