In the early morning hours of September 24, 2022, a sense of normalcy was shattered in New Orleans. Daimeion Christopher Brown, a 21-year-old African American male, was in a car with two friends at the intersection of South Carrollton Avenue and Willow Street. At approximately 2:30 a.m., the tranquil night was broken by the sound of gunfire.
